PLA FILM PRODUCTS
Poly(lactic acid) or polylactide (PLA) is a thermoplastic aliphatic
polyester derived from renewable resources, such as corn starch (in the
United States), tapioca products (roots, chips or starch mostly in Asia)
or sugarcanes (in the rest of world). It can biodegrade under certain
conditions, such as the presence of oxygen, and is difficult to recycle.
PLA can be convertd to shrink lables, shrink sleeves, cut bands, shrink
bands, folding carton windows, bag windows, bag lamination, lidding
film, bacon board, twist wrap, floral wrap, chocolate interleave, fruit
containers, deli containers and CD/ DVD wrap.

Saran Coated Cellophane
98% Biodegradable FDA Approved Heavyweight - High Barrier This is a cellophane film made with the same process as our biodegradable series of bags with one additional step. The cellophane film has an additional high barrier coating of saran on it. The saran helps keep the film from wrinkling and increases shelf life. It has an above average water vapor rating, excellent machinability and heat sealability.
